This website houses a searchable catalogue of resources about key public health topics. The New Zealand Ministry of Health provides the resources described on this site to promote a better understanding public health. Health professionals and members of the public are welcome to view and order these resources.

About the Health Education Resources
The health education resources focus on key public health topics, such as nutrition and physical activity, immunisation, and becoming smoke-free. The resources outline and promote preventive measures that contribute to maintaining public health. (Medical conditions are best discussed with your doctor or other health professionals.)
The resources are regularly updated or revised to ensure that the information they contain is accurate. Each resource is written and designed to be easily understood.
Many of the resources are also translated into te reo Māori and the various community languages of Aotearoa New Zealand. New materials specific to the identified needs of community groups may also be developed, for example, resources for new immigrants to New Zealand.
The main resource formats are kits, videos/DVDs, posters, books, booklets, pamphlets, leaflets, cards, postcards, small signs, and stickers.
Anyone with an interest in health issues may view, download, and print the resources on this website. PDF files are provided for most of the paper-based publications. The exceptions are for some posters, where file sizes would be overlarge, and for some stickers.
Who Can Order these Resources?
Members of the public and health professionals can order copies of the resources free of charge. In order to maintain fair distribution, a limit has been placed on how many copies can be requested of some of the videos and DVDs. A small number of other resources are restricted to, and can only be given out by, health professionals.

Other Publications
He Korero is a quarterly leaflet which profiles new health education resources, notes revisions and related changes, and raises awareness of existing resources. The latest issue can be viewed online or the PDF file downloaded. Click on Miscellaneous under Browse Health Topics to locate He Korero.
Twice yearly, a print catalogue of the health education resources is also published. The current Catalogue of Health Education Resources (always coded HE0007) can be viewed online, downloaded (as a PDF file) or ordered from the Website. Click on Miscellaneous under Browse Health Topics to locate the print catalogue.
